We have used the Ipè data governance ecosystem to create a powerful tool useful for carry out the calculation of the carbon footprint in complex scenarios. The aim of Ipè Carbon Footprint is to allow one efficient reporting of emissions also for structured companies located in several countries and whose data related to emissions is shared among, potentially, hundreds of different data owners.
Thanks to Ipe's system of modules and privileges, it is possible to assign granular objectives to the data owner, allowing them, for example, to report only the refrigerant gas emissions of some companies part of a group. The activity carried out by the data owners is monitored and traced by the platform, and the emissions come always calculated in real time on the basis of the raw data entered.
Emissions are aggregated on several levels, so it is always possible to keep track of the aggregate of emissions at any level of a complex sociogram, therefore if a company has data related to emissions at plant level, these are then automatically aggregated at plant level agency. At the in the same way, the data is then aggregated at group level, if data is reported for multiple companies.
Data collection on Ipè takes place on an annual basis. It is therefore possible to track the evolution of emissions for each company part of a corporate group year by year, by carrying out time benchmarks e projections.
